The beauty of being

The pill he took that evening was bitter. So was his whole day, week, month, maybe few years before him. Spending long hours under water, each time listening to the sound of fast moving molecules around his ear, he came to realize that the beauty of being does not lie in being itself, but in each early morning he wakes up more alive and aware of the connection with other beings. There were times when those thoughts were too fragile to even admit them. They were something new and something too ancient at the same time. They grew directly from the deep blue of his core, from depths so pitch black that even soul was afraid to look that way and try to remember. With each new day, each new pill, each new awakening he grew in understanding he was not alone. The urge to break the prison of his own mind became so strong he often fell unconscious, floating in his water tank for days, while his brain slowly recovered from the storm of neuron cell evolution. There was no time. Past did not really exist. Present is not important and future? The future came early. After one lasting recovery he started to hear one different sound. Slowly becoming stronger and stronger, he soon forgot about high pitched whistles of molecules, about the pressure in his sore brain. He listened to hum, slowly becoming more clear and familiar. The structure of this new stimulus evolved at very high speed. The hours decanted into one moment. He felt this was the thing he was waiting for his whole life. He understood. He responded. It was greeting.

Everybody in room became silent for few seconds. Their faces faded but soon a big smile started to spread accros the faces of all scientists. The computer started to transmitt this long awaited singal from room no. 56, tank no. 18B. It was response. Simple response on simple stimulus which was transmitted into brains of all animals during the long years of experiments in establishing a communication between man and animal being. At the beggining, chimps were favorites, but soon their agressive attitude emerged and the connection became impossible. We, humans, were the same kind. The agresivity in core parts of our mind was the biggest problem, and when two agressive cores collided, it was disaster. Many chimps had to be discarded, many human volunteers became flesh dolls with baked brain. Dolphins replaced chimps, simple artificial intelligence replaced humans. The subject of communication was reduced to one single word: Hello. An this was the response. Humans found out long ago that dolphins communicated with each other. They found out that actually dolphins were capable of poetry and the art of feeling – special art form which was spread only accros dolphin population. The art of feeling was the transmission of beautifuly desingned feelings of one dolphin to another in telephatical way. The deep study of this sense became the matrix for establishing telephatical way of communication between dolphins and humans and the goal was to actually learn this ability to communicate between humans themselves. The first step has already been taken, the first connection happened.
